If they are big enough, cushion covers. Stuff with foam or kapok(?) for pin cushions. Do some quilting. Stuff with old clean tights for door draught excluders. Fold and sew to make pockets to hang on back of kids bedroom doors to pop toys in..............

The most common thing I do with free fabric swatches is turn them into needle books. These use the small pieces of material sewn together to create a small cloth book which sewing needles can then be pinned into to keep safe and are easy to locate next time you need them.

I save my fabric samples and give to an Aunt of mine in November. She makes loads of stuff for family members with these fabric samples and loves it, so i save mine throughout the year for her.

I’ve seen on tv where they do ‘quilting’ i know they sew the patches together- but I didnt pay attention from there as i cant sew lol. I’m sure if you google quilting that something will come up.

For little bits of hand sewing I have used them to put catnip in cos the cats don’t care what shape i have made !
