Yes that's correct, it's not a subscription
At first it seems like a subscription-based service but if you skip "auto ship" on the shopping basket then you should just pay £1 and nothing more. Annoyingly, at the end they asked me for identification and now I have to wait 24hrs to order it.
Hate when companies do this.

Has anyone tried these? Interesting to know how long each capsule lasts. Someone has said six months 
Do not believe that! Otherwise how would they make money. Believe person may mean the battery part.

The 'auto ship' option? I recall that not being ticked by default but rather entirely optional.
